Vidnet releaseparty!

Vidnet releaseparty!

On November 13th, Vidnet marks the unshackling of their debut album ATTENTAT with a release gathering at Vesterbro’s bastion of underground sound: Basement CPH.

The album will be officially unleashed at midnight on November 14th - yet on the 13th, it can already be experienced in its entirety, performed live and available on vinyl (two different colorways) for those who wish to hold the first echo in their hands.

Emerging from the shadows of Copenhagen’s underground, the duo - who made their live debut at Copenhagen Metal Fest in September - conjure a vile and feverish alloy of grindcore, sludge, and festering death. Their sound is as godless as it is unrelenting.

ATTENTAT inhabits a twilight world inspired by the dawn of the 20th century - an era of artistic upheaval and mechanical awakening, but also of war, conflict, and authoritarian control.

Who Vidnet truly is remains a shifting question within their lyrics - the witness becomes voyeur, victim, martyr, and accomplice.

The name Vidnet also signals an artistic defiance. We often imagine the artist as an external observer, dissecting the world from a distance. On ATTENTAT, this notion collapses. The songs unfold as ritual chambers - spaces of esoteric ceremony, surgical cruelty, and doomed power plays - where the “I,” or the witness, is both subject and perpetrator.

Vidnet is Andreas Isbrandt Løvenskjold and Jamie de la Sencerie. On stage, they are joined by Niclas Saffaus (New Money / Elitist).
